‘Drishyam 3’ will explore Georgekutty’s family life, don’t come with much expectations, says Jeethu Joseph

Kochi: Director Jeethu Joseph revealed that Drishyam 3 will narrate what is currently happening in Georgekutty’s life and his family. He clarified that he never considered the first two instalments of Drishyam as thrillers, but rather as family dramas.

Speaking to the media in Kochi ahead of the film’s pooja ceremony at Poothotta S.N. College, Jeethu said, “Don’t expect too much. Don’t come with excessive expectations. The film tells the story of what is happening in Georgekutty’s life and the current situation of his family. To know what it is, you must watch the movie. The film explores what has happened and what could possibly happen in Georgekutty’s family after four and a half years. Come with curiosity, not with over-expectation.”

He further added, “I have never regarded Drishyam as a thriller. It is a family drama in which certain events unfold; that’s all.”

Jeethu also expressed pride over Mohanlal receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, stating, “It is not only for cinema; he has contributed immensely to social and cultural spheres as well. In every respect, he is a person truly deserving of the Phalke Award.”
