Delhi Police has granted permission for Diljit Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium after organisers submitted a detailed plan addressing security, traffic and crowd-management concerns.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert will go ahead as scheduled on October 30 after Delhi Police granted permission following discussions with the organisers. The development comes amid reports that the event’s clearance had been temporarily withheld over concerns about safety arrangements and crowd management during the festive season.

According to CNN-News18, Delhi Police confirmed that permission had been granted after multiple meetings with the organisers, during which detailed security plans were presented.

BookMyShow had also clarified that reports claiming the concert had been cancelled were inaccurate. In a statement reported by IANS, the ticketing platform said permission for Diljit’s Aura India Tour concert in New Delhi had been temporarily withheld, not cancelled, pending additional safety, traffic and crowd-management measures requested by the police.

The organisers subsequently held discussions with Delhi Police and submitted a detailed plan addressing the requirements. They also assured the authorities of full compliance with applicable security, traffic and crowd-management measures.

“The concert is proceeding as planned, and fans can look forward to being part of the experience,” BookMyShow Live said in its statement.

The organisers added that they would continue working with Delhi Police and other relevant authorities to ensure a safe and smooth experience for concertgoers while minimising inconvenience to local residents and commuters.
