'Aaj jhukega nahi': Diljit Dosanjh’s 'Pushpa' moment as he claps back at Maha govt's advisory

Mumbai witnessed a vibrant night on Thursday as Diljit Dosanjh brought his Dil-Luminati Tour to the city. Known for his outspoken nature, the singer addressed the advisory issued to him by the Maharashtra government, making it a part of his engaging performance.
Before kicking off his show, Diljit assured the crowd that they were in for an unforgettable night. Referring to the advisory from the Maharashtra government—urging him to refrain from singing songs about drugs and alcohol—the singer took a dig with humour and resilience. "This morning, I learned that another advisory has been issued against me. Don’t worry, all advisories are on me. I will make sure you have double the fun tonight," Diljit quipped, addressing the packed audience in Hindi.
Diljit began his performance with an insightful anecdote inspired by Sagar Manthan, a tale from Hindu mythology. He said, "What I have learnt from this is no matter how much poison people want to throw at you, you should not take that inside. People will try to stop you, but you should never let that affect you or your work."
Adding a Bollywood twist, Diljit quoted ‘Pushpa 2’ star Allu Arjun, enacting his iconic move and proclaiming, "Aaj jhukega nahi…" The crowd erupted in cheers as he seamlessly blended philosophy with pop culture.
Ahead of his performance, the District Child Protection Officer from Mumbai issued a notice to Diljit, advising him against promoting alcohol or drug use during his show. Additionally, the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights instructed him not to invite children on stage during the event.
Unfazed, Diljit took to Instagram after the show, sharing snippets of the electrifying night with a powerful caption: "I rise above your advice."
