Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajinikanth officially part ways

Chennai: The Chennai Family Welfare Court, on Wednesday, officially granted a divorce to actor Dhanush and director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, bringing an end to their nearly two-decade-long marriage.

Dhanush, the son of film director Kasthuriraja, and Aishwarya, the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, tied the knot on November 18, 2004, with the blessings of their families. The couple has two sons.

In 2022, the couple announced their decision to separate after nearly two decades of being together. Following the announcement, they approached the family court seeking a divorce through mutual consent. 

On November 21, both appeared before the Family Welfare Court. During the hearing, the couple reiterated their intention to end their marriage.
