Renowned writer NS Madhavan has extended his support to Mohanlal's film Empuraan, calling it a bold cinematic venture. In his statement on X, he referred to the deleted scenes from the film as "phantom limbs," describing how they might continue to linger in the minds of viewers despite being cut from the film.

“A phantom limb is the sensation that an amputated or missing limb is still present and can sometimes cause pain, itching, or feelings of movement. Empuraan cuts are going to be phantom limbs. What a brave movie!” Madhavan wrote on X.

Support for Empuraan has been pouring in from various quarters, with notable figures from the film, political, and cultural fields expressing their solidarity. Actor Asif Ali, director Aashiq Abu, Congress leaders K.S. Sabarinathan, T. Siddique, Minister Saji Cherian, and CPM state secretary MV Govindan are among those who have backed the film.

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) also took to Facebook to show their support for those involved in Empuraan. They condemned the ongoing attacks on actors Prithviraj and Mohanlal on social media, calling them unfortunate. FEFKA expressed that while criticism is welcome, it should never cross the line into abuse, threats, or personal attacks.

The film has garnered considerable attention for its bold approach, and the backing of key figures in the entertainment industry reflects the growing support for the film.
