RM drops major hint: BTS’s comeback album may arrive sooner than expected

BTS leader RM has sparked excitement among fans after hinting at the band’s much-awaited comeback slated for spring 2026. Sharing updates on X, formerly Twitter, RM posted a series of photos and assured fans that the group’s new album is progressing well.
“Above all, the music is really coming out great. Everyone is working hard. Look forward to it. 2026 Bulletproof Army Fighting,” RM wrote, adding that preparations are in full swing.
This comes after BTS announced earlier this year that they would reunite for a new album and a world tour in 2026 — their first major project together since 2020.
Following the band’s temporary hiatus in 2022, all seven members began serving their mandatory military duties in South Korea while also pursuing solo projects. With several members nearing the end of their service, anticipation for the full group’s return has been steadily building.
Sources suggest that BTS began work on the upcoming album around July 2025. RM, in earlier fan interactions on Weverse, shared that the band is preparing for photo shoots and music video production, signalling that the comeback is in its advanced stages.
He also told fans, “Above everything, the music is coming out really well! Everyone is working hard. Please look forward to it. 2026 BTS ARMY, let’s do this.”
The forthcoming album marks BTS’s first group release in nearly six years and is expected to coincide with a global tour, reuniting millions of fans worldwide under the iconic banner of the “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.”
