Box office report: 'Raayan', ‘Deadpool 3’ dominate theaters, ‘Level Cross’ gains momentum

According to Sacnilk, ‘Raayan’ (released on July 26), directed by Dhanush, performed well in its first three days at the box office. It collected Rs 13.65 crore on the first day. Over the weekend, the India net collection stood at Rs 42.65 crore, while the worldwide total was Rs 71.25 crore. The movie collected Rs 13.75 crore on the second day and Rs 15.25 crore on the third day in India.
The film follows Kathavarayan 'Raayan', a fast-food hotel owner in North Chennai, who hunts down the gangs that had ruined his family in the past. It stars Dhanush in the titular role, leading an ensemble cast that includes S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan.
Directed by Shawn Levy, 'Deadpool and Wolverine', released on July 26, garnered Rs 21 crore on its opening day in India. Over the weekend, this Hollywood film’s collection crossed Rs 4000 crore worldwide. It collected Rs 22.65 crore on the second day, Rs 22.3 crore on the third, and Rs 6.75 crore on the fourth day.

The net collection in India adds up to Rs 16 lakh. The day-wise collection for the movie was comparatively low. The day one and day two collections for the movie were Rs 4 lakh each, while for day three it was Rs 5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh for the fourth day.

It collected Rs 31 lakh on the second day, Rs 35 lakh on the third, and Rs 6 lakh on the fourth day. The story revolves around a modern girl and an unruly man from different worlds who meet in a surreal setup. Despite their differences, they discover unexpected similarities about life.
