District collector warns music director Bijibal over misusing his name

Kochi: Ernakulam District collector Suhas S IAS has issued a warning to music director Bijibal for misusing his name as patron of Kochi Music Foundation. The collector has sent a letter to Bijibal and warned for illegally using his name which may attract legal actions.
“From today’s newspaper reports, I came to know that you have stated I am the patron of your organization, which is not true. Please note that it is illegal to use my name as patron or so, by you or any organization without my written permission,” wrote the district collector in the letter.
Bijibal is one of the committee members of the music organisation.
Kochi Music Foundation has organised a music concert titled ‘Karuna’ to raise funds for Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. But even after three months from organising the concert, the funds were not transferred to CMDRF. It triggered another controversy against celebrities, including director Aashiq Abu and actress Rima Kallingal, who were among the organisers of the event. But putting an end to the controversy, Aashiq Abu handed over a cheque of Rs 6.22 lakh to CMDRF on February 14. But he has been facing social media attack for not giving the fund immediately after the show.
