‘Bachelor Party D'eux’: Jyothirmayi steps in as Paulie in Amal Neerad’s upcoming film

Jyothirmayi has been introduced as Paulie in the latest character poster for Amal Neerad’s upcoming Malayalam film, Bachelor Party D'eux. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 19.

The new poster follows the release of character posters featuring Tovino Thomas, Naslen, Soubin Shahir, Sharafudheen, Sreenath Bhasi, Chandhu Salimkumar, Shine Tom Chacko, Nadia Moidu and Rajisha Vijayan.

Arriving 14 years after the 2012 action film Bachelor Party, the sequel brings together established Malayalam cinema stars and younger performers, with a Gen Z-inspired approach.

The film's first-look poster, featuring a red-and-gold retro aesthetic, had earlier attracted considerable attention on social media. Given the original film's cult status, anticipation for the sequel has been building among Malayalam cinema audiences.

The title D'eux draws from the French word deux, meaning “two”, while the phrase can also suggest “of them” or “about them”.

Directed by Amal Neerad, the film features an ensemble cast comprising Naslen, Kunchacko Boban, Soubin Shahir, Sharafudheen, Sreenath Bhasi, Chandhu Salimkumar, Tovino Thomas, Shine Tom Chacko, Paris Laxmi, Nadia Moidu, Rajisha Vijayan, Jyothirmayi and Hansika Krishnakumar.

Bachelor Party D'eux is jointly produced by Amal Neerad Productions, Anwar Rasheed Entertainments, and Fahadh Faasil and Friends.

Appu Prabhakar is the cinematographer, while Vivek Harshan handles editing. Christo Xavier has composed the music, with Unni R writing the dialogues. Tapas Nayak is in charge of sound design, and Joseph Nellikkal oversees production design. Lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahamed and Vinayak Sasikumar, while Mashar Hamsa and Ronex Xavier handle costumes and make-up, respectively. Athira Diljith is the film's public relations officer.
