Book on Life of veteran singer B. Vasantha released

Thiruvananthapuram: 'Kudamulla Pookkaalam', a book on the life of veteran singer B. Vasantha, was released at the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). The book authored by Bina Ranjini, was released by director Sibi Malayil, by handing over the first copy to singer Madhusree Narayanan, at the main venue of Tagore theatre. Kerala Chalachitra Academy Chairman Kamal, Vice Chairperson Beena Paul, Secretary Ajoy Chandran and Film Critic V. K. Joseph were present.

B. Vasantha is a legendary singer who has sung more than 4000 songs in the golden period of her career. She has more than 165 Malayalam songs in her name. Her songs remain some of the best in the history of South Indian cinema.
