Archana Kavi opens up about divorce and life after marriage, ‘He moved on…’

Actress Archana Kavi, who rose to fame with her debut in the film ‘Neelathamara,’ has shared candid details about her personal life and professional hiatus.
In an interview with a YouTube channel Mazhavil Keralam, she opened up about why she took a decade-long break following her marriage to childhood friend Abish Mathew. The actress recently made her comeback with the movie ‘Identity'.
"We were childhood friends. But marriage is different. You truly understand a person when you live together under one roof. Neither he nor I are bad people. We could have remained friends, but taking the next step was not right. The reason for our separation is personal, and I’m not someone who likes to discuss such matters publicly. Life together just didn’t work out for some reason. I’m proud to say that I had a good marriage and a good divorce. We never resorted to accusations or insults. He moved on, and so did I. Why create unnecessary problems in life?" she said.
"Time heals everything. When we face a problem, after two or three months, its intensity diminishes. Breakups are not easy, and neither is divorce. Whatever the issue, I have my family with me. They stood by me during my divorce. My father was there with me, saying we are together. I don’t need another marriage. I am suffering from depression, and I’m still taking medication for it," she added.
