Anushka Shetty demanded Rs 5 crore for her Malayalam debut : Report

The fans are excited about actor Anushka Shetty making her debut in the Malayalam film industry in Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, directed and edited by Rojin Thomas and starring Jayasurya in the title role. 

Anushka's most recent appearance was in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty (2023), a film that had a decent run at the box office. Soon after, it was revealed that she had been cast as Kalliyankattu Neeli, a celestial character, in the upcoming fantasy movie in Malayalam.

According to a report published by News 18, the Bahubali actress is reportedly charging a remuneration of Rs 5 crore for her Mollywood debut. However, the report says no official word on it has been received so far. Meanwhile, Kathanar will be released in two parts and is mounted on a budget of Rs 75 crore. The first part is planned to be released in 2024.
