Videos from the intimate ceremony have quickly spread across social media, with fans loving the actor's energetic performance.
The celebrations, held in Mumbai ahead of Akansha's wedding to filmmaker Sharan Sharma, saw Alia take to the dance floor alongside Akansha's sister, Anushka Ranjan Kapoor, and her husband, actor Aditya Seal.
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the trio's lively performance to ‘Maahi Ve’ from ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. Surrounded by family and close friends, they danced as guests cheered them on, creating one of the most memorable moments of the celebrations. The videos have since gone viral online
Alia Bhatt and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor have shared a close friendship since childhood. Having grown up together in Mumbai, the two have often spoken about their long-standing bond.
Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma, who have reportedly been in a relationship since 2022, are set to get married on July 11, 2026.
The couple have chosen to keep the occasion intimate. Instead of a traditional wedding ceremony with elaborate rituals, they are expected to have a registered marriage at the Ranjan family's Mumbai residence, with only close relatives and friends in attendance.
The pre-wedding celebrations were attended by several well-known faces from the film industry, including Janhvi Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.
Alia was last seen in the action thriller Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail. The film marked the seventh instalment in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe and featured Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
She will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The period romance is scheduled to release in January 2027.
