WATCH | Aashirvad Cinemas turns 26: Mohanlal appears in new look during celebrations

Antony Perumbavoor’s film production company, Aashirvad Cinemas, has completed 26 successful years in the film industry. To mark the milestone, superstar Mohanlal celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake and sharing the sweetness with those present. Antony Perumbavoor shared a video of the celebration on social media, which went viral within minutes.

Lalettan in new look?

In the video, Mohanlal is seen in a dapper new look, having shaved his beard and styled his moustache with a twirl. Standing beside him are his wife, Suchitra, and Antony Perumbavoor. Mohanlal cuts the cake and feeds both Antony and Suchitra, while Antony affectionately kisses Mohanlal as part of the celebration.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Antony Perumbavoor wrote:

“26 years. It’s not just a number. Thanks to everyone who worked with us, supported us, partnered with us, and watched movies with us.”

The beginning of Aashirvad Cinemas

Aashirvad Cinemas was founded in 2000, at the dawn of the new millennium. The first film produced under the banner was the blockbuster Narasimham, which released on 26 January 2000 and went on to become a landmark success. To date, Aashirvad Cinemas has produced 33 films starring Mohanlal.

The next film from Aashirvad Cinemas is the highly anticipated third instalment of the Drishyam franchise.
