Malavika Mohanan, one of the most sought-after actors in South Indian cinema, is currently filming for a Malayalam movie titled Hridayapoorvam, directed by Satyan Anthikad and featuring the legendary Mohanlal in the lead role.

After completing the first schedule of the film, she shared a post on social media along with some stills from the shoot. However, the post attracted criticism from a netizen who questioned the casting.

The comment read: “A 65-year-old man playing the love interest of a 30-year-old. What’s with these veteran actors desperate to play roles that don’t fit their ages?”

In reply, Malavika responded sharply: “Who told you it’s a love interest? Stop judging people and films with your half-baked, baseless assumptions.”

Meanwhile, Hridayapoorvam marks the reunion of director Satyan Anthikad and Mohanlal after a gap, promising a fresh cinematic experience. The ensemble cast also includes Siddique, Sangeetha, Nishan, Sangeet Prathap, and Lalu Alex.
