Emmy Awards 2026: Full Nominees List, Biggest Snubs and Surprise Picks

The countdown to the 2026 Emmy Awards has begun, with the nominations now officially announced.

The annual awards ceremony, which honours excellence in television, is scheduled for 15 September (6.30 am IST) and will recognise programmes that aired between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026.

‘The Pitt’ leads this year's nominations, while ‘Hacks’ has emerged as one of the strongest contenders.
Despite generating significant buzz over the past few months, ‘Heated Rivalry’ was not eligible for the 2026 Emmy Awards because it was produced by a Canadian production company rather than an American one. Its absence is among the biggest talking points of this year's nominations. However, Connor Storrie still received a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance on Saturday Night Live. Elsewhere, the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ missed out on nominations in both the acting and Outstanding Drama Series categories, while ‘Widow's Bay’ emerged as one of the surprise performers with a stronger-than-expected showing.
