Ravi Teja's 'Mass Jathara' drops first song with an AI twist

# Entertainment News

Artificial intelligence continues to find its groove in cinema, especially in music. After the AI-generated vocals in ‘Manasilayo’ from 'Vettaiyan', another track is now creating buzz. The makers of 'Mass Jathara', starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, dropped the film’s first song on 14 April 2025 — and it’s got everyone talking.

Titled 'Tu Mera Lover', the song stands out not just for its catchy beats, but for bringing back the voice of late music director Chakri using AI. Composed by Bheems Ceciroleo with lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla, the track revives Chakri’s distinct tone — recreated through artificial intelligence, making it a nostalgic ride for fans.

How AI recreated Chakri’s voice

It’s reported that Bheems himself sang the song, and then transformed it into Chakri’s voice using AI tools.  The result is a musical throwback reminiscent of the cult hit 'Choopultho Guchi Guchi Champake', blending old-school charm with modern tech.

Dance, drama and nostalgia

The lyrical video has Ravi Teja and Sreeleela lighting up the screen with their trademark high-energy moves. Their chemistry, which had already struck gold in 'Dhamaka', is back with a bang. This song also brings back Ravi Teja’s iconic hook step from his blockbuster 'Idiot', adding a throwback element that fans can’t get enough of.

Sreeleela, who’s built a reputation for energetic dance numbers — from 'Dhamaka' to the viral 'Kurchi Madathapetti' in 'Guntur Kaaram' — only strengthens that image here. With 'Tu Mera Lover', she continues to live up to the audience’s expectations for a lively chartbuster in every film.

AI in Indian music: A growing trend

Directed by debutant Bhanu Bhogavarapu and backed by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios, 'Mass Jathara' is shaping up to be a full-on commercial entertainer.

The use of AI in film music isn’t new, but it’s picking up steam. The late singer Malaysia Vasudevan’s voice was digitally brought back for a track in 'Vettaiyan', composed by Anirudh. Similarly, Yuvan Shankar Raja used the AI-generated voice of his late sister Bhavatharini in the song 'Chinna Chinna Kangal' from the film 'Goat'. Now, that trend has officially found its way into Telugu cinema
