‘Drishyam 3’ OTT release: When and where to watch Mohanlal’s thriller online

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has returned to theatres with ‘Drishyam 3’, the highly anticipated third instalment of the blockbuster thriller franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph.

The film hit theatres on May 21, 2026, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday celebrations, making the release even more special for fans.

The Malayalam thriller continues the gripping journey of Georgekutty, one of Indian cinema’s most iconic characters.

Apart from Malayalam, the movie has also released in dubbed Telugu, Tamil and Kannada versions, expanding its reach across South India.

‘Drishyam 3’ OTT release details

After the theatrical release, buzz around the film’s OTT premiere has continued to take over social media.

According to reports by ETimes and Times Now, ‘Drishyam 3’ is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video after a theatrical window of around 30 to 35 days.

If the current schedule remains unchanged, the thriller could reportedly premiere on the platform by late June or early July 2026.

The first two parts of the ‘Drishyam’ franchise are already streaming on Prime Video, and reports suggest that the makers have continued their partnership with the OTT giant for the third instalment as well.

Prime Video confirms digital rights ownership

Amid speculation surrounding the post-theatrical streaming rights, Amazon Prime Video recently issued an official statement confirming that it holds the exclusive digital rights to ‘Drishyam 3’ through an agreement with Aashirvad Cinemas.

According to the platform, the agreement covers multiple digital formats, including subscription video-on-demand (SVOD), transactional video-on-demand (TVOD), advertising-based video-on-demand (AVOD), free video-on-demand (FVOD), and electronic sell-through (EST).

The streaming platform stated that it is the “sole and exclusive holder” of the film’s digital rights under its existing agreement with the production house.

Release date changed earlier

‘Drishyam 3’ was initially scheduled to release on April 2, 2026. However, the makers later postponed the film before finally locking May 21 as the official theatrical release date.

The ‘Drishyam’ franchise remains one of the most successful thriller series in Indian cinema, and expectations from the third chapter are already sky-high among fans.
