Korean powerhouse Don Lee to lock horns with Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’

International action superstar Don Lee — best known for ‘Train to Busan’ (2016) and Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ (2021) — is reportedly making his grand entry into Indian cinema with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film ‘Spirit’, starring Prabhas.
According to reports from Korean entertainment media, Don (also known as Ma Dong-seok) is set to play the main antagonist in the high-voltage cop drama.
The update originated from Korean entertainment forum Muko, which stated that ‘Spirit’ will be a “dark-toned detective crime story” featuring Prabhas in the lead. At the same time, Don Lee’s character “stands in opposition to him.”
Fans recently noticed Don Lee sharing posts from his travels to India — now believed to be related to Spirit’s shoot. “Ma Dong-seok was seen boarding a flight to India recently, and it turns out it was for this film,” the report added.
Korean media also described Vanga as “one of the most controversial yet successful commercial directors of recent times,” referencing his box office hits Animal and Arjun Reddy.
While Spirit’s production team has not issued an official confirmation about Don Lee’s casting, the buzz has already set social media on fire.
The film stars Prabhas, along with Triptii Dimri, Prakash Raj, and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Earlier this month, Vanga unveiled an audio teaser—a “sound story”—on Prabhas’ birthday, teasing the intense world of Spirit without revealing plot details.
Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, ‘Spirit’ is slated for a global theatrical release in 2026.
