‘Punjab da puttar meets Big B: Diljit Dosanjh brings beats to KBC!’

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh recently made a grand appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, hosted by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan — and the episode promises pure entertainment.

A video shared on Team Dosanjh’s Instagram shows the singer performing his hit Main Hoon Punjab on the KBC stage. Before the performance, Amitabh Bachchan introduced him to the audience as “Punjab da puttar (Punjab’s son),” saying, “Punjab de puttar Diljit Dosanjh ka main hardik abhinandan karta hoon (I wholeheartedly welcome Punjab’s son).”

Diljit responded with his trademark humility — he touched Bachchan’s feet, and the megastar hugged him warmly. The post was captioned, “Deviyo aur sajjno kehnde kon aa geya (Ladies and gentlemen, do say who has come). KBC with @diljitdosanjh.”

Fans couldn’t keep calm. “The crossover episode we need,” one user commented. Another wrote, “Respect the man who made Punjabi look premium on global screens.” Someone else said, “Wow, after so long, he’s on TV again — this is going to be iconic!”

Earlier, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked Diljit about his KBC experience. The singer replied, “It’s for (Punjab) flood,” hinting that his appearance supports flood relief efforts in Punjab.

What’s next for the multitasking musician?

Diljit is juggling several projects — from starring in music videos like Charmer with Sanya Malhotra and Kufar with Manushi Chhillar (from his album Aura), to gearing up for Border 2 alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan.

Currently, the singer is touring globally for his AURA concert series. After shows in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, he’s headed to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Auckland — wrapping up with a grand finale in Bangkok on December 7.
