Tatenda Taibu

One of Zimbabwe’s greatest players, Tatenda Taibu became the youngest ever Test cricket captain at the age of 20 in 2004. Eventually playing 28 test matches and 150 ODIs for Zimbabwe, he retired from all forms of cricket in 2012.

He made a comeback in 2016 in UK club cricket before becoming national selector for Zimbabwe and head of the country academy programme. In 2018, he continued his playing comeback by agreeing a professional deal in Sri Lanka’s domestic competitions.

Throughout his career Tatenda’s religious faith has played a large part in his approach to his life, both on and off the field. He is a truly engaging speaker who reveals an honest account of his cricketing journey and influence of faith in shaping his life.
