Ramesh Gopalakrishnan

Hailing from Thrissur, Ramesh Gopalakrishnan is a known writer on music and related topics. His writings combine the passion for misuce with rigorous research about technical and historical aspect.

He has been writing about Carnatic Music, Hindustani Music and Film Songs in various Malayalam periodicals for last 15 years. He had also penned four books including Karnataka Sangeethakaranmar, Janapriya Sangeetham, Karnataka Sangeetha Vicharangal and Janakeeya Sangeetha Vicharangal.

Gharana, a column written by him about the Hindustani music in the Nagaram Supplement of Mathrubhumi was hugely appreciated. He is currently working in the Accounts Department of the Railway Divisional Office at Palakkad.
