Janardhanan

Janardhanan is a renowned actor in Malayalam film industry. He was born in 1946 in Vaikom. He debuted as an actor in a documentary ‘Prathisandhi’ directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan. His debut movie was ‘Aadyathe Katha’, but his first released movie was ‘Veettumrigam’ directed by Venu in 1969. He gained fame through the movie ‘Gayathri’ in which he played a noted character.

He had been playing villain roles in 1970’s and 80’s, but shifted his focus to humorous roles since the movie ‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’ released in 1987. He has been active in Malayalam movie industry for more than 30 years.
