Hundreds of tourists are flocking to Pathanamthitta to experience the natural beauty of Adavi and Gavi. The tour package, organised by the Konni Forest Department, has now resumed. Initially launched in 2015, the Adavi-Gavi-Parunthumpara tour package was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic but has now resumed.

Since its inception, around 60,000 people have participated in this excursion, which is overseen by the Forest Department. The journey begins at the Konni Eco-Tourism Centre, located near the famous Konni elephant enclosure. The tour departs from Konni at 7:30 am, offering a full day of exploration.

Travellers can immerse themselves in the beauty of Adavi as they start their journey. The tour then proceeds to Gavi, passing through picturesque locations such as Thannithodu, Chittar, Seethathodu, Angamoozhi, and Moozhiyar. Along the way, participants can enjoy the serene forest environment, spot wild animals, and soak in the fresh, cool air.

The return leg of the journey takes tourists through Kuttikkanam, Mundakayam, and Ranni, finally arriving back in Konni at 7:30 p.m. On the way back, visitors can marvel at the stunning views of Parunthumpara. A guide is available to introduce tourists to the various landmarks and points of interest along the route.

The tour package uses two air-conditioned minibuses, each seating 16 passengers. Currently, one of these vehicles is undergoing repairs. A unique feature of this package is that it caters to small groups, making the experience more personalised. The package also includes two meals for all passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

Advance booking is required to secure a spot on the tour. For more information and to book, contact: 8547600599.
