Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026: Visa-on-Arrival rolled out for foreign visitors

Formula 1 enthusiasts heading to Baku for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix can now obtain an airport visa upon arrival. Under a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, foreign travelers and stateless persons visiting for the event can access simplified visa processing at Azerbaijan's international airports between August 25 and September 30, 2026.
To qualify, visitors must present an official paper or electronic F1 ticket, or proof of ticket purchase. Event personnel and accredited individuals may also utilise this scheme by showing valid accreditation cards issued by Formula One Management Limited, the FIA, or the Baku City Circuit Operations Company.
Scheduled from September 24 to 26 at the 6.003-km Baku City Circuit, the race weekend features practice sessions on Thursday, practice and qualifying on Friday, and the main 53-lap race on Saturday starting at 3:00 PM local time. Hosting Formula 1 events since 2016, the 20-corner street track weaves past Baku’s historic old town and the Caspian Sea waterfront, combining sharp corners with high-speed straights.
Travelers must ensure they carry valid ticket documentation and fulfill standard entry requirements during the designated window.
