Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma found himself face-to-face with a bizarre (but adorable) mystery this week, and it wasn’t on the pitch.

On June 11, Sharma took to Instagram to post a photo of several strange-looking, jagged-toothed figurines sitting on his table.

His caption? Classic confused dad energy, “My girls tried explaining these to me, I still don't get it.”

The photo featured seven Labubu dolls, wildly colourful, some pastel, some neon, including a limited-edition Coca-Cola one, lined up like proud trophies. While Sharma might not understand their appeal, the internet definitely does.

Fans react: “Not on my 2025 Bingo card”

Rohit’s baffled dad moment triggered a mini meltdown across social media.

One fan posted on X, “Rohit Sharma posting Labubus was NOT on my 2025 bingo card. THIS IS A PROUD GIRL DAD.”

Another chimed in, “Rohit Sharma is also the victim of Labubu dolls.”

And the memes kept rolling in, “Rohit Bhaiya Is Trying To Figure Out THE LABUBUS”

“Rohit Sharma itne Labubus kahan leke jaaoge?” (Where will you take all these Labubus?)said another.

Stars, teens, and cricketers… What is Labubu?

Labubu dolls are the latest must-have from Pop Mart’s Blind Box universe. They’re small, quirky, furry creatures with wide grins and a haunted-cute aesthetic that seems to have captured the imagination of Gen Z, collectors, and even celebrities.

Everyone from BLACKPINK’s Lisa to Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Simone Biles, Ananya Panday and Karan Johar have been spotted either posing with them or hoarding them.

They were first created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, inspired by Nordic folklore, and released by Chinese retailer Pop Mart in 2015.
