How to apply for the GCC Unified Tourist Visa 2026

The GCC Unified Tourist Visa is a proposed Schengen-style travel permit that will allow visitors to enter Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman using one online application and a single visa. The system is expected to roll out in late 2026, following pilot phases.

Once launched, the entire process will be digital, eliminating the need for multiple embassy visits or separate visa applications.

Check eligibility and travel plans

Before applying, ensure that:

• Your nationality is eligible under the GCC unified visa framework
• You are travelling for tourism purposes
• Your travel itinerary includes one or more GCC member countries
• You plan to enter the GCC region once and move freely between countries during the visa’s validity

Nationality-specific conditions may apply and will be listed on the official portal.

Required documents

Keep digital copies of the following documents ready before starting the application:

• Valid passport: Must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended travel date and have blank pages.
• Recent digital photograph: Passport-style colour photo with a clear background.
• Travel itinerary: Entry and exit dates, along with a list of GCC countries you plan to visit.
• Proof of accommodation: Confirmed hotel bookings or accommodation details across your itinerary.
• Return or onwards ticket: Proof that you will exit the GCC region after your visit.
• Travel insurance: Medical and travel insurance covering the entire duration of your stay in all GCC countries.
• Proof of financial means: Bank statements or financial documents showing sufficient funds for the trip.

Additional documents such as invitation letters or business references may be required for certain nationalities.

Access the official GCC unified visa portal

Once the visa officially launches, applications will be submitted through a single GCC-wide online portal. No embassy or consulate visits will be required. 

The portal will guide applicants through form completion, document uploads and payment. The exact website address will be announced by GCC authorities closer to launch.

Complete the online application form

Visit the official portal and

• Enter personal details: name, date of birth, nationality, contact information
• Provide travel details: arrival date, departure date, itinerary
• Upload required documents: passport, photo, tickets, insurance, accommodation
• Review all information carefully before submission

This single application replaces multiple individual country visa requests.

Pay the fees online 

The proposed visa fee is expected to range between USD 100–150 (approximately AED 367–550). The payment will be made online using international credit or debit cards. Ensure your card supports international transactions. 

Submit and track your application

After payment, submit the application electronically. Track application status through the portal dashboard or email updates. Processing times will be announced once the system is operational. 

Download your e-visa

• Once approved the GCC Unified Tourist Visa will be issued as a digital e-visa.
• Download the PDF copy from the portal or email.
• Print a copy or keep it saved on your phone for immigration checks.

This visa will allow travel across all six GCC countries without obtaining separate visas.
