US: A parenting products company and a boutique ice cream brand in the United States have teamed up to launch a new flavour that has been turning heads online, one designed to taste like breast milk. The collaboration between Frida and New York-based OddFellows Ice Cream Co. has gone viral since its debut.

Although the ice cream mimics the flavour of human breast milk, it does not actually contain any, USA Today reports.

According to a statement from Frida, the breast milk-inspired ice cream is made from milk, heavy cream, skimmed milk powder, sugar, dextrose, egg yolks, invert sugar, guar gum, salted caramel flavouring, honey syrup, liposomal bovine colostrum, yellow food colouring, 0.1% propylparaben (a preservative), and FD&C Red 40.

Frida describes the ice cream as “sweet, a little salty, smooth, with hints of honey and sprinkles of colostrum, and featuring a distinct colostrum yellow tinge,” according to USA Today. The limited-edition flavour is available for purchase via Frida’s website while stocks last.
