‘My Goddess’: Shikhar Pahariya has a cheeky reaction to Janhvi Kapoor's gold Koffee with Karan look

Janhvi Kapoor brought vintage Hollywood glamour to the Koffee With Karan couch, but it was her playful exchange with rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya that caught everyone's attention. The actor appeared on the show in a striking gold backless mini dress, and Shikhar was quick to react to her glamorous look.

Taking to the comments section, Shikhar wrote, “My Goddess”. Janhvi had a rather cheeky response, replying, “thnx 4 the dress ”. The playful exchange added another talking point to the actor's appearance, which also saw her open up during the show's much-awaited rapid-fire round.

For the occasion, Janhvi picked a vintage gold cocktail mini dress from Morphew Atelier, styled by Meagan Concessio. Far from an ordinary party dress, the one-of-a-kind creation is handcrafted using rare antique materials sourced from across the globe.

The dress makes a statement with its shimmering, chainmail-style fabric, which creates an almost liquid-metal effect under the light. Its delicate halter straps and cowl neckline bring an old-Hollywood sensibility to the look, while the fitted silhouette, soft ruching around the hips and daring thigh-high slit add a contemporary edge. The backless design further adds to its appeal.

Morphew Atelier's collection places considerable emphasis on preserving vintage craftsmanship. According to the brand, its Atelier creations represent more than a century of design, incorporating rich textiles that are no longer manufactured. Each piece also brings traditional artisanal techniques into contemporary designs.

Janhvi kept the styling relatively understated, allowing the metallic gold creation to do most of the talking. She wore her long hair in loose cascading waves and opted for softly defined eyes, rosy blush, luminous skin and glossy nude-pink lips. Delicate gold drop earrings completed the look.

The actor's fashion statement was matched by her candid appearance on Koffee With Karan, where she joined Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.
