Noted designer Rohit Bal passes away

Famous designer Rohit Bal has passed away on Friday. He was 63. 

He had recently returned to the fashion circuit at Lakme Fashion Week after taking a break due to a heart ailment last year.

Born on May 8, 1961, in Srinagar, Rohit Bal has been a significant figure in the Indian fashion industry since the 1990s. Renowned for his luxurious fabrics, intricate embroidery, and bold silhouettes, Bal's work often reflects cultural themes, showcasing a deep appreciation for India's heritage.

His notable contributions include collaborations with Khadi Gram Udyog, emphasizing sustainable fashion, as well as designing costumes for the popular television show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
