A cycle journey with an environmental mission

Kalpetta: With the life mission to protect the environment, Brajesh Sharma, a native of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, an ex-soldier, has reached Kerala on his cycle. The environmental-friendly cycle journey which began from Gujarat in 2019, has already crossed more than 40000 km.
Brajesh who served in the army for 17 long years, hails from Arera colony in Bhopal and has been working full time for the cause of environmental protection. Brajesh is engaged in a battle against the use of single-use plastic and has taken on a mission that creates awareness of the benefits of organic farming and a waste-free India.
The journey which began in 2019 has crossed 11 Indian states and has now reached Kerala. He had collaborated with different local communities to clean rivers and other water bodies throughout the 40000 km of his solo ride.
Brajesh couldn't resist chattering with a trio of cyclists, which included foreigners, about his mission when he reached the Kalpetta national highway. His ride for a cause has reached the ears of several government officials too. With the help of the local community, Brajesh organized programs to create awareness in the places he traveled to. Most people he met were welcoming and even offered him food and accommodation.
He sleeps on the roadside in most parts of his journey and on rare occasions he gets to experience the presence of wild animals. Brajesh is striving for his environmental message to reach the nooks and corners of the country.
