Vayalar Award for Sreekumaran Thampi

Thiruvananthapuram: Noted lyricist and music director Sreekumaran Thampi was conferred this year's Vayalar Award for his autobiography 'Jeevitham Oru Pendulum' (Life is a Pendulum). 

Initially, the autobiography was published in Mathrubhumi Weekly and was later released as a book by Mathrubhumi Books. The award consists of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a sculpture.
