Kerala must learn from Delhi on Covid prevention, says poet Sachidanandan
New Delhi: Writer and critic K Sachidanandan said that Kerala must look at Delhi and learn the Covid prevention activities. In a Facebook post, the writer said that unnecessary panic is being created among the public in the name of the pandemic. Delhi is witnessing a different type of prevention of the virus by total coordination and cooperation than what is seen in Kerala with a kind of seclusion.
“If there exists any difference between the approach in dealing with Covid prevention in Delhi and Kerala then I do not know if it is due to the Government’s mental approach or the people’s approach. We could see more of calmness in Delhi. Not only for me but for all people living here. Even if the disease exists, people do not panic like in Kerala. People in Delhi wear masks and maintain social distancing. If people leave homes only for their needed purpose and taking precautions, then no one need to fear or panic,” Sachidanandan said.
