Rubber price drops, trading at Rs 177 per kg in last three days

Kottayam: Rubber prices have seen a decline, currently trading at Rs 177 per kg over the last three days in the domestic market. This price drop aligns with the decline in the international market. The Ribbed Smoked Sheet Rubber 4 (RSS Rubber-4) variety has witnessed a drop from Rs 220 to Rs 209 per kg.

The decrease in rubber prices is primarily attributed to traders selling their stocked rubber as the fiscal year draws to a close. Additionally, tapping is expected to resume with the onset of rain. This, combined with an influx of stock into the market, may further drive prices down.
