SSC GD Constable 2025: Results expected soon

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is gearing up to release the results of the much-anticipated Constable (GD) examination, conducted earlier this year in February. Aspirants across India who appeared for the computer-based test (CBT) will soon find out if they have advanced to the next stage of the recruitment process for General Duty roles in various paramilitary forces.

The exam, held from February 4 to February 25, 2025, aims to fill 39,481 vacancies in forces such as the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the Special Security Force (SSF), Assam Rifles, and the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Where to check the result

The SSC GD Constable Result 2025 will be published on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. Candidates can follow these steps to check their result once declared:

• Visit the commission’s website: ssc.gov.in
• Navigate to the “Result” tab
• Click on the “Constable-GD” link
• Open the PDF file listing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates
• Use the search function (Ctrl + F) to locate your roll number
• Download and save the PDF for future reference
• The result PDF will also include the cut-off marks, providing clarity on the minimum scores required for qualification.

What comes next in the recruitment process

Candidates who clear the CBT will move on to the next round— the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). These physical assessments will evaluate the fitness and readiness of candidates for duty in high-security and field-intensive roles.

Those who pass the physical round will be required to undergo a medical examination as the final step before induction.

A multilingual, pan-India examination

The CBT consisted of 80 questions worth 160 marks and was conducted over 60 minutes. It was held in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, and Urdu, among others—reflecting the nationwide reach and inclusivity of the recruitment process.

Answer key released, objections reviewed

Following the examination, the provisional answer key was released on March 4, with a window for objections that remained open until March 9. The commission is currently reviewing all challenges submitted. Valid objections will be considered while preparing the final answer key, which will be used to determine the scores of candidates.
