PG dental final allotment begins in Kerala with fresh option registration

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, has commenced the activities related to the Third Round Allotment to Postgraduate Dental courses-2025 in Government Dental Colleges and Private Self-financing Dental Colleges in the state at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

This allotment will be to fill up the currently available vacant seats and the seats expected to be released during the allotment process of the third round.

Fresh option registration: Fresh option registration will be available during the third (final) round. The conversion of seats, if any, will be carried out during this final round of allotment. From the final round onwards, restrictions have been imposed on candidates in order to avoid lapsing of seats and holding of AIQ seats and state quota seats, thereby blocking seats. Hence, candidates should exercise due diligence in exercising their options and should not file unwanted options to seats in which they do not wish to pursue studies. As a measure to prevent this, a fresh option registration fee will be made applicable to all candidates who register fresh options in the final round.

Option Registration Fee: The option registration fee for Round 3/the final round will be an amount equal to the annual tuition fee of the seat opted for if opted only for a government seat or an amount of Rs.1,00,000/-, if also opted for a seat in a private self-financing dental college. For SC/ST/OE and other candidates who are eligible for fee concession, the registration fee for Govt./Pvt. Dental College seats will be half of the above amounts, respectively. The registration fee paid for the final round allotment will be adjusted in the fee of the course if the candidate gets an allotment or else will be refunded after the end of counselling. The registration fee paid for the final round allotment of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted in the final phase allotment will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded. Candidates who file/retain unnecessary options & do not take admission on allotment to the Course/College during the final phase of allotment, resulting in lapsing of government seats in government/self-financing colleges allotted by the CEE, will not be eligible for refund of fees. They will have to pay liquidated damages as stipulated in Clause 19.5 of the Prospectus.

Eligible candidates included in the rank list published by the CEE can register their options online through www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates may enter their application number & password in the link ‘PG Dental 2025 Candidate Portal’ provided at the website to log on to their home page. Then by clicking the menu ‘Option Registration,’ candidates can register their options online, up to 11.59 pm on 13.08.2025. Candidates who get an allotment in the third phase of counselling will lose their current admission. Candidates who get an allotment have to join the allotted colleges by paying the fees to the allotted college.

The allotment will be based on the rank list and the online options received up to 11.59 pm on 13.08.2025.

Third Phase Allotment (Provisional) will be published on 14.08.2025 and Third Phase Allotment (Final) on 16.08.2025.

All candidates who get an allotment should join the course and college to which they are allotted along with the required documents and pay the fee at the colleges from 17.08.2025 to 4 pm 20.08.2025.

Candidates are liable to pay the admission fee as prescribed by the University at the time of admission. Candidates who belong to SC/ST/OEC/Children of Fishermen/Inmates of Sri Chithra Home, Nirbhaya Home, Juvenile Home are exempted from payment of fees.

The allotment to colleges/courses will be subject to recognition of All India Regulatory Bodies/ Affiliation from the Universities concerned.

Admission Cancellation: Candidates who wish to cancel their existing admission and do not want to proceed in further allotments should apply for a Transfer Certificate by 4 pm on 13.08.2025. No refund of fees will be made to candidates who apply for a transfer certificate/cancellation of admission after the last date. They will also have to pay liquidated damages as stipulated in Clause 19.5 of the Prospectus.

A candidate leaving one course to join another before or during the final Centralized Allotment Process shall not be liable to pay the Liquidated Damages.

Stray Vacancy Filling: After the 3rd phase allotment, if any vacancy exists or arises, those vacancies will be filled through Stray Vacancy Allotment. There will be a facility for fresh option registration in the Stray Vacancy Allotment phase. Candidates (i) who have been allotted seats in the third phase (ii) who joined the allotted seat in the third phase allotment (iii) who joined allotted seats in the first and second phase allotments and are continuing in the same (iv) who exited the seat after 4 pm on 13.08.2025 (v) who joined/hold a seat in the All India quota/Deemed/Central University seats at the time of stray vacancy filling as per the data shared by the central authorities are not eligible for participating in stray vacancy filling.
