National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Ministry of Power, Government of India, NPTI Complex, Sector-33, Faridabad, Haryana – 121003, has invited applications for admission to its MBA in Power Management with specialisation in (i) Sustainability, (ii) Cyber Security and Cloud, (iii) Data Science and Data Analytics.

This AICTE-approved 2-year, full-time Residential degree program, affiliated with J C Bose University of Science and Technology, integrates cutting-edge management theories with real-world challenges, aiming to tackle sector issues and enhance both managerial and technical skills.

An MBA in Power Management can provide opportunities across global consulting firms, power and energy sector utilities, IT firms and international agencies, including those related to Energy Consulting, Power Trading, Renewable Energy Projects, Energy Policy and Regulations, Power Distribution and Utilities, Entrepreneurship in Energy, Smart Grid and Energy Analytics, etc.

There are non-sponsored and sponsored seats.

Eligibility: Only Engineering Graduates are eligible to apply. Applicant must have at least 60% marks/equivalent CGPA, throughout in Engineering, 10th & 12th/Diploma from any recognised board or university. Those appearing in the final year/ semester Examination can also apply.

Applicants (excluding sponsored candidates) must have a valid Management Test score, which can be one among CAT/GMAT/CUET/XAT/CMAT/MAT. Those with one of these scores may apply.

Those without a valid CAT/GMAT/CUET/XAT/CMAT/MAT score can apply for the NPTI Admission Test (NAT-2026) to be held in online mode on 15th March, 2026. Such applicants will be considered based on the score of NAT 2026.

Selection Criteria:

  • For Non-Sponsored candidates: Merit list will be prepared based on the total of the scores in CAT/GMAT/CUET/XAT/CMAT/MAT or NPTI Admission Test (NAT) Exam (70 per cent); Group Discussion (20 marks), and Personal Interview (10 marks).
  • For a sponsored candidate, it will be based on (i) 60% of the total marks obtained in graduation (Engineering Discipline), (ii) marks obtained in Group Discussion out of 20, (iii) marks obtained in Personal Interview out of 10, (iv) weightage for experience out of 10 marks as per details given in the Prospectus.
