CSIR-NIIST Scientist recruitment 2025: Apply online for 10 positions in Thiruvananthapuram

CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Industrial Estate PO, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram-695019, Kerala, a premier Institute under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, involved in multidisciplinary areas of R&D programmes of basic/applied sciences, has invited applications for the positions of Scientists at the Institute.

There are 10 positions as follows: UR 04, UR-PwBD-HH- 01, EWS- 01, SC- 02, ST- 01, OBC- 01.

Applicant must be a citizen of India. Those with M.E. / M.Tech in specified branches/areas; PhD (Science/Engineering) in specified branches/subjects, depending on the position, are eligible to apply for the different positions.

Upper age limit should not exceed 32 years as on 28.12.2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit for various categories is given in the Notification at https://www.niist.res.in/ (Opportunities/Careers > Permanent positions links).

Applications can be submitted online at https://recruitment.niist.res.in/, latest by 5.30 pm on 28.12.2025.

Application fee is Rs. 500/- to be paid online as instructed in the Notification. No fee is payable, subject to uploading of relevant documents, for SC/ST/ PwBD/ Women / Ex-Servicemen.

All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions specified in the advertisement by the last date of receipt of online application.

Those currently working in CSIR/Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Universities/PSUs etc., as regular employees must inform their Department or Office and upload a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from their employer at the time of submitting the online application (as per format attached to the notification), failing which their candidature will not be considered.

The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates to be called for an Interview.
