NEET MDS counselling 2025 begins, allotment process now live at MCC website

Activities related the Counselling for admission to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) program 2025, based on NEET MDS 2025 result, have commenced at https://mcc.nic.in/
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting online counseling and making allotments to 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% of seats in Central Universities/Deemed to be Universities for MDS courses for the academic year 2025.
There will be four rounds of counseling—Rounds 1, 2, 3, and Stray Round. Registration facilities will be available at the beginning of the first round, second round, third round, and stray vacancies on notified dates.
Those who have qualified for All India Quota (AIQ) seats on the basis of their rank in NEET MDS 2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will be eligible for participation in the counselling process for AIQ seats and Central Universities/Deemed to be Universities seats.
Open seats—domicile-free under AIQ—include (i) 50% All India Quota seats (ii) 50% Seats of BHU (iii) 50% Seats of AMU (iv) 50% All India Quota seats of DU/Central Institutes.
50% of seats at BHU, AMU, Delhi University/Central Institutes will be internal seats, the eligibility for which is given in the Information Bulletin & Counselling Scheme at the MCC website.
Counselling for Priority III, IV & V candidates into AFMS PG Teaching Institutes will also be conducted by MCC of DGHS. Details are given in the Information Bulletin.

To participate in the seat allotment process, eligible candidates have to pay a registration fee (non-refundable) and a security deposit (refundable) as follows: (i) For AIQ, the non-refundable fee will be 1000/- and the security deposit will be Rs. 25000/- (Rs. 500/- and Rs.10000/- respectively for ST/SC/OBC/PwD) (ii) For deemed-to-be universities, the non-refundable fee will be 5000/-, and the security deposit will be Rs. 200000/- for all categories of candidates. Those desirous of filling choices to AIQ and Deemed to be Universities have to pay the higher amount of Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 200000/-.
Registration/payment for the first round can be done at https://mcc.nic.in/ up to 12 noon on 30th June 2025. The payment facility will be available up to 3 pm on 30th June 2025.
Choice filling can be done up to 11.55 pm on 30th June 2025. Choice Locking will start at 4 pm on 30th June 2025 and close at 11.55 pm on 30th June 2025.
The first allotment will be announced on 3rd July, 2025. Those allotted seats have to report to the allotted institute for joining during 4th July, 2025, to 8th July, 2025.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 can opt for a free exit and can directly participate in round two. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 only after physical reporting at the college/institute. Such candidates have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents from round 1 and complete the admission formalities and give their willingness for upgradation in the college.
Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 will not have any claim on a Round 1 seat.
Those not desirous of upgradation will retain the seat joined.
A registered candidate who is not allotted a seat in round 1 can participate in round 2 directly without fresh registration. Candidates who have resigned their round 1 seat after joining need not register again for round 2.

MCC has also announced the dates of state counseling based on NEET MDS 2025. The first round of state counselling will be from 1st July, 2025, to 8th July, 2025. The last date of joining based on the 1st round of state allotment will be 13th July, 2025. The second round of state counseling will be from 16th July, 2025, to 27th July, 2025; the third round from 6th August, 2025, to 16th August, 2025; and the stray round from 22nd August, 2025, to 25th August, 2025. The academic session for MDS courses will commence on 25th July, 2025.
