MCC opens NEET PG 2025 round 1 choice filling; Apply till November 5

Registration facility for Round 1 of admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses (MD/MS/Diploma/DNB) based on NEET-PG 2025 being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) can be done at https://mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling/ by 12 noon on 5th November 2025.
Payment of the fee for round 1 can be done till 3 pm on 5th November 2025. After payment of the fee, Choice Filling for Round 1 can be done up to 11.55 pm on 5th November, 2025. Choice Locking can be done from 4 pm on 5th November, 2025, up to 11.55 pm on 5th November, 2025. The result of Round 1 will be announced on 8th November 2025. Those getting an allotment must report and join the allotted institution between 9th November, 2025, and 15th November, 2025. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their original documents during physical reporting to the college/institute for confirmation/joining of the seat.
MCC will conduct counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats, specified seats in specified Central Universities; Colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation; Deemed to be Universities etc. Candidates who desire to participate in AFMS Counseling will be required to register on the MCC portal and may opt for AFMS seats. The procedure for allotment to AFMS institutions is detailed in the Information Bulletin & Counselling Scheme available at the website.
Open seats-domicile free under AIQ include 50% All India Quota seats contributed by states; 50% seats of BHU, 50% seats of AMU, 50% All India Quota seats of DU (MAMC, UCMS, LHMC)//Central Institutes (VMMC & SJH, ABVIMS & RML, ESIC-Basaidarapur). All Seats of DNB courses, all seats of Deemed to be Universities, all seats at CIP, Ranchi and Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, Bordoloi, Assam will also be allotted on All India basis by MCC.
There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling- Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round. Each round of counselling is a separate round and the rules of each round are different. Once any round commences, the rules of that round will apply to all the candidates even if they were allotted/admitted in the previous round(s) of counselling. Once round 2 commences the rules of Round 2 shall apply and the rules of round 1 will not apply. Similarly, the rules of third round will apply only in third round and the rules of Stray Vacancy round will apply only on stray vacancy round. The time schedule for different activities related to each round is given at the MCC website.
To participate in the process, candidates will have to register at https://mcc.nic.in. A candidate can submit NEET-PG Counselling application/registration form only once. Main counseling Registration will include payment of Non-refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit. The e-mail ID and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form of NBEMS will be used for registration on the MCC portal for Counselling. The said fields will be pre-populated in the Application/Registration form of the Counselling. All the information/communication will be sent by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW through email on the registered e-mail address or SMS on registered Mobile Number only. Registration facility will be available at the beginning of first round, second round, third round and stray vacancy on notified dates. Those candidates eligible to participate in each round has to file fresh choices for that round. Choice filed for a round will not be considered for the subsequent rounds.
To be considered for seats in Deemed to be Universities, the registration fee will be Rs. 5000/- and Security deposit will be Rs. 2,00,000/- for all categories of candidates. To register for All India Quota seats only (all seats except seats of Deemed to be Universities), Unreserved (UR/EWS candidates) have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000/-, while, Reserved category students (ST/SC/OBC/PwD) have to pay Rs.500/-. Security Deposit (Refundable) will be Rs.25000/- and Rs.10000/- respectively for these two categories. Those candidates who wish to be considered for seats under AIQ and Deemed to be Universities need to pay Rs.5000/- and Rs.2,00,000/- only. The Security Deposit of candidates who have been allotted a seat in the Second Round or subsequent rounds but do not join the respective institution or surrender the seat due to any unforeseen reason, will be forfeited. Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason. It may happen in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Admission Authorities or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission or within stipulated time.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 can opt for free exit and can directly participate in round two. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 only after physical reporting at the college/institute. Candidates willing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents of round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade then he/she has to give willingness for upgradation in the college. If a registered candidate is not allotted a seat in round 1, he/she can participate in round 2 directly without fresh registration.
Candidates should make sure that while taking admission/resignation in the allotted college their admission/resignation is generated through online mode (through Intra-MCC portal) by the college authorities. Any other letter of admission/resignation will not be accepted.
