Guidelines notified for MCC NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the Guidelines related to the online Special Stray Vacancy Round being conducted by it for filling vacant seats of MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing  due to Non Joining/ Non Reporting after the completion of Stray Vacancy Round of MCC UG counselling 2024.

No Fresh Registration will take place in the Special Stray Vacancy Round. All pre-registered candidates who have completed registration and payment of fees earlier and are not holding any seat of All India Quota/State Quota/ Deemed University are eligible to participate. 

Those allotted a seat by MCC in AIQ Round-3 and Stray Vacancy Round earlier but did not join the allotted seat and those who have not completed the Registration process or has not paid the fees earlier, are not eligible to participate in this round. 

Those eligible to participate have to do Fresh Choice Filling for Special Stray Vacancy Round. Any choices submitted earlier will be treated as ‘Null & Void’. 

All AIQ Registered candidates irrespective of their category are required to pay a Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 50,000/- for participation in Special Stray Vacancy Round for exercising choices for Govt. seats.

Candidates registered for Deemed Universities will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 3,00,000/- to exercise choices for Deemed University. 

Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be Forfeited and they will not be eligible to take NEET UG exam for 2025. 

Candidates who will be allotted seats in Special Stray Vacancy Round will have to report at the allotted Institute and join the seat with their original documents within stipulated time mentioned in the schedule. The list of candidates who have been allotted seats in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be shared with state counselling authorities and such candidates will be debarred from taking admission in Special Stray Vacancy Round of state counselling. 

Candidates participating in Special Stray Vacancy Round will have to furnish an undertaking with respect to allotment of seats at the time of Choice Filling on MCC portal as given in the Notification at https://mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/

• Payment for MCC Special Round can be done up to 3 pm on 21.11.2024 at https://mcc.nic.in/ 
• Choice Filling can be done up to 8 am on 22.11.2024
• Choice Locking facility will be available from 8 pm on 21st November, 2024 till 8 am on 22nd November, 2024.
• Result will be announced on 23rd November, 2024. Those allotted seats should join the colleges/institutions during 25th November, 2024 and 5 pm on 30th November, 2024.
