KEAM 2025: Phase 1 MBBS/BDS Option registration commences

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram-695 001, has invited online options for the first phase allotment to MBBS and BDS courses Kerala for the year 2025.
Candidates who are included in the State Medical Rank List published by the CEE can give options through their Home Page at www.cee.kerala.gov.in up to 11.59 pm on 04.08.2025, to be considered for allotment to MBBS and BDS courses. Allotment will be done on the basis of the options registered by the candidates.
There are 12 Government and 20 Self-financing Medical Colleges and 6 Government and 18 Self Financing Dental Colleges included in this phase of allotment. The list of Colleges is given in the Notification at www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Allotment to certain Medical Colleges will be subject to University affiliation/ Government order.
Option Registration Fee: Those candidates who wish to register options will have to remit registration fee of Rs. 5,000/- to the CEE. The registration fee of those candidates, who get an allotment in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, will be carried over to Tuition Fee of the course allotted and the registration fee of those candidates who do not get any allotment will be refunded. The registration fee of those candidates, who get an allotment in Private Self-financing Medical/Dental colleges will be refunded to candidates after closing date of admission, provided he/she has taken admission. Those belonging to SC/ST/OEC category and other categories mentioned in the Notification will have to remit Rs.500/- only as Registration Fee. The Registration Fee of such candidates who take admission in the allotted college/course will be adjusted in the caution deposit.
The registration fee of those candidates who do not join within the stipulated time after getting the allotment and of those candidates who quit the seats after taking admission will be considered as penalty and will not be refunded.
Registration Fees can be remitted at any of the Head Post Offices in Kerala or by way of online payment. The list of Post Offices is available in the website.
Candidates should file options only to the courses/colleges to which they are sure to join and continue studies if allotted. There is no provision for fresh option Registration for MBBS/BDS courses in the next phase of centralised allotment process, unless new colleges are included. So candidates may register all available options for MBBS/BDS courses in this phase itself to which they wish to get admission. The allotment of those candidates who do not take admission within the stipulated time will be lost and they will not be considered for further allotments.
Fee: Fee for MBBS in Govt. Medical Colleges is Rs. 23,150/- and that for BDS in Government Govt. Dental Colleges is Rs. 20,840/-.
As the fees structure for Self Financing Medical/Dental Colleges for 2025-26 has not yet been fixed, candidates who get allotment in Self Financing Medical/Dental Colleges, should pay the fee fixed for 2024-25 provisionally. Further if the fee fixed by the ASC/Govt./Hon’ble Court Order for 2025-26 is higher than that of the provisionally paid fee, candidates are liable to pay the balance fee. The Provisional fee to be paid is given in the Notification.
Candidates whose results have been withheld due to various reasons can also register options for allotment. But the options submitted by such candidates will not be considered for allotment unless they submit the required documents to clear the defects and release their ranks, before 3 pm on 02.08.2025. Those NRI candidates who have submitted expired or expiring documents along with Online application and have submitted Self declaration from the sponsor, can also register options. If such candidates do not submit the original documents on or before the last date fixed by the CEE, their NRI status and the allotment if any, received in NRI quota will be cancelled.
Those candidates who wish to get admission in minority quota seats and NRI quota available in Self-financing Medical/Dental Colleges, should give option to such seats available in the colleges concerned in this phase. Those candidates who have been included in the NRI category list published by the CEE will only be considered for allotment to NRI quota seats. Non-Keralite II NRI category candidates will be considered for NRI quota seats only in the absence of Keralite and Non-Keralite I category candidates.
All Indian candidates can give option to the 15% AIQ seats available in Self-financing colleges, for allotment irrespective of their domicile.
Provisional allotment will be published on 05.08.2025 and final allotment will be published on 06.08.2025.
Those who get allotment to Government Medical/Dental Colleges should pay the complete fee to CEE. Those who get allotment to Self-financing colleges should pay the fee as per allotment memo to the colleges. Candidates allotted under SC/ST/OEC category and other categories mentioned in the Notification need not remit token deposit to the CEE. However, if they are allotted seat under Minority/NRI quota in Self-financing Medical/Dental colleges they will have to remit the token fee and they will not be eligible for fee concession.
Candidates who get allotment should remit the fee shown in the allotment memo and take admission in the College allotted during 07.08.2025 and 4 pm on 12.08.2025.
