IIM Kozhikode launches one-year Diploma in Management (DiM) program for aspiring managers
Kozhikode: IIM Kozhikode has introduced a one-year Diploma in Management (DiM) program aimed at professionals and aspiring managers seeking to enhance their careers with advanced management skills. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
The DiM program offers a learning model that combines classroom sessions, live virtual classes, and asynchronous content. The curriculum encompasses core general management subjects and electives in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, Business Analytics, and Digital Marketing. Notably, industry experts will lead 20% of the curriculum, providing specialised workshops and mentorship to participants. The program also includes two on-campus modules, each lasting five days.
Speaking on the launch, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, said, "At IIM Kozhikode, we are committed to redefining management education to meet the aspirations of a dynamic and diverse professional landscape. The Diploma in Management is our answer to the growing demand for skilling and reskilling in a rapidly evolving job market. This program represents the spirit of innovation and inclusivity that drives our institution, providing professionals with the tools they need to lead with impact in the modern world."
Eligibility for the DiM program includes graduates and diploma holders with relevant professional experience. The selection process involves the IIMK Diploma in Management Aptitude Test (DMAT) followed by personal interviews. The inaugural cohort is set to begin in the third week of May for the 2025-2026 academic year. Participants will have the opportunity for credit transfers to IIM Kozhikode's MBA programs and will gain executive alumni status, joining a global network of over 10,000 alumni.
