IIM Kozhikode among world’s top-70 in FT Masters in Management rankings for second year

Kozhikode: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has once again secured a place among the world’s best, ranking 69th in the Financial Times Masters in Management (FT MiM) Rankings 2025.
This is the second year in a row that the institute has featured in the Top-70 globally, a reflection of its rising international reputation and growing influence as a leading hub for management education.
What the rankings measure
The FT MiM rankings assess several parameters including salary levels and pay rises for alumni three years after graduation, career progress, value for money, as well as international diversity and gender balance among students and faculty.
This year, IIM Kozhikode delivered balanced results that highlighted its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and sustainability.
Salary Growth & Employability: Alumni reported a 38% rise in salaries, along with 100% employability within three months of completing the programme. Remarkably, the school also achieved a 100% alumni response rate, matching the top-ranked global institutions.
Diversity Leadership: With 57% women students and 47% women representation on its Board, IIMK continues to lead on gender inclusivity, standing ahead of other IIMs in this respect.
Global Outlook: The institute reported 2% international student representation, the highest among IIMs (at par with IIM Bangalore), demonstrating its appeal to global learners and focus on cross-cultural education.
Sustainability Focus: IIMK secured the 66th rank worldwide in ESG and net-zero teaching, the best among IIMs, and stood 51st globally in carbon footprint, underscoring its leadership in sustainability and responsible management education.
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, said, “IIM Kozhikode’s consistent presence in the global Top-70 reflects more than rankings—it is a reaffirmation of our values and vision. We take pride in leading on diversity, employability, and sustainability, which are essential markers of a future-ready institution. Our mission is to shape leaders who combine professional excellence with social responsibility and global awareness.”
Competitive global field
In 2025, a total of 137 Masters in Management programmes worldwide took part in the FT rankings. Only those programmes that are full-time, cohort-based, and accredited by either AACSB or EQUIS qualify for assessment. IIM Kozhikode’s strengths in employability, inclusivity, and sustainability continue to set it apart among leading business schools globally.
National recognition
This milestone comes soon after IIM Kozhikode secured a Top-3 spot in the NIRF 2025 Rankings (Management Category) for the third consecutive year, further reinforcing its place among India’s most dynamic and respected management institutions.
