Girl defies odds, secures first rank in BA Malayalam at Maharajas college

Lakshmi, a differently abled student at Maharajas college, created history by securing first rank in BA Malayalam, that too by scoring record marks. The girl who is suffering from cerebral palsy, has gone to college only to write exams. She did not attend a single class physically, during her graduation. 

Lakshmi used to attend physical classes during her school days; she underwent numerous surgeries, so that she could at least walk a little, but with the aid of others. However, with the onset of the pandemic, the girl with a poor immunity started falling sick quite often. As a result, she could no longer attend physical classes, as she wished.

However, a determined Lakshmi continued her studies at home with special permission from the college. Sitting at home, she started listening to lectures delivered in classes through her phone. And put up a stellar show in the examination.

Lakshmi is an inspiration to the entire student community.
