Get Rs 16,000 monthly: NISER’s MSc programme now accepting applications

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, has invited applications for admission to M.Sc. Programme in Medical and Radiological Physics at the Centre for Medical and Radiation Physics.
The program has been designed according to the syllabus prescribed by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. The curriculum lays emphasis on Physics, Radiology, and its medical applications. The degree will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai.
The duration of the course is 2 years + 1-year mandatory internship in collaborating hospitals. Internship hospitals as per AERB guidelines are All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar and Acharya Harihara Post Graduate Institute of Cancer, Cuttack.
There are 10 seats for the Program.
Fellowship: Those selected will get a fellowship of Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA and Contingency as per DAE rules.
Eligibility: Applicant should hold a minimum of First class (60%) in a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences or an equivalent degree with Physics as one of the main subjects from a recognized University.
Those who are appearing in their Final Examination for a Bachelor’s degree can also apply, provided they submit an undertaking that they will submit the Qualifying degree certificates by the time of the interview.

Application: Applications can be submitted online through the link provided at https://www.niser.ac.in/, by 15th May 2025 at the latest.
The shortlist will be announced on 30th May 2025. The shortlisting will be based on the JAM 2025 / JEST 2025 Mark, which will be followed by an interview for the final selection of candidates.
The test/Interview will be from 1st July 2025 to 4th July 2025.
All candidates called for an Interview will be paid for and from single second sleeper class railway or bus fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to the Institute (both way). They must produce evidence (railway/bus ticket), a copy of their call letter, and bank details in support of their claim.
