Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Vadodara admissions 2026: Apply for B.Tech, MBA and PhD programs

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, focusing on transport and logistics-related education, multidisciplinary research and executive training; Lalbaug, Vadodara, Gujarat 390004; has notified its admissions for 2026-27.

Applications are invited for admission to the following academic programmes across Engineering and Management disciplines for the Academic Year 2026-27.

Discipline, Level and Program: (a) Technology [Under-graduate (Regular Programs)]: (i) B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (Specialisation: Rail Engineering) (ii) B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Specialisation: Rail Engineering) (iii) B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization: Rail Engineering) (iv) B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Specialization: Rail Engineering) (v) B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (Specialization: Transportation and Logistics) (vi) B.Tech. in Aviation Engineering (vii) B.Tech. in Maritime Engineering. All courses are of 4 years’ duration. There are 40 seats for Aviation Engineering and 30 seats for Maritime Engineering. For all other courses, there are 60 seats each. For admission to all B.Tech. Programmes, applicants should have qualified in JEE (Main) 2026. Allotment of seats will be through the counselling process through JOSAA. Details will be available at https://josaa.nic.in/.

(b) Management: Post-Graduate (Regular Programs): (i) MBA (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) (ii) MBA (Ports and Shipping Logistics, Offered jointly with Indian Maritime University (IMU)). Both Programmes are of 2 years’ duration with 30 seats each.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects with a minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI (50% marks or 5.5/10 CGPA/CPI for SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Entrance Test Score requirement: MBA (LSCM)- CUET-PG/XAT/CAT/MAT score; MBA (PSL)-IMU-CET/CUET-PG/XAT/CAT/MAT.

(c) Technology/ Management Doctoral (Regular Programs): PhD (Engineering/Management) with a focus on Transportation & Logistics.

Eligibility – PhD in Engineering: Master’s degree in Engineering/Science (M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc. (Engineering/Science) or MS with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI (50% or 5.5/10 for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Such Students are required to have at least 60 % marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA in Bachelor’s degree (50 marks or at least 5.5/10 CGPA/CGPI for SC/ST/PWD) OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech. / B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering)) – 4-year programme with minimum 80% marks or 8.5/10 CGPA/CPI.

Eligibility – PhD in Management: Master’s degree in Management/Humanities/Social Sciences/Sciences/Engineering or allied areas with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI (50% or 5.5/10 for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Such students are required to have at least 60 % marks or 6.5 CGPA or CGPI in Bachelor’s degree (50 % marks or at least 5.5/10 CGPA/CGPI for SC/ST/PWD) OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech./B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering)) – 4-year programme with minimum 80% marks or 8.5/10 CGPA/CPI.

Executive Programs -Exclusively for Working Professionals:

Technology - Post-Graduate: M.Tech. (Intelligent Transport Systems) (ii M.Tech. (Railway Engineering) (iii) M.Tech (Bridge and Tunnel Engineering) (iv) M.Tech. (Roads and Highway Engineering). All Programs are of 3-year duration and have 30 seats each. Selection will be based on the GSV Entrance Test.

Management- Post-Graduate: (i) MBA (Logistics and Supply Chain Management), (ii) MBA (Multi-modal Transportation), (iii) MBA (Metro Rail Management), (iv) MBA (Aviation and Operations Management), (v) MBA (Infrastructure Asset Management), (vi) MBA (Digital Maritime). All Programs are of 2 years' duration and have 20 seats each. Selection will be based on the GSV Entrance Test.

Technology/ Management- Doctoral: PhD (Engineering / Management) with a focus on Transportation & Logistics (Exclusively for Working Professionals in Govt. / Industry / PSU, R&D organisations, Laboratories, Defence Forces, NGOs, and Banking/Finance Institutions). Selection will be based on the GSV Entrance Test.
