FMGE eligibility certificate application opens online at NMC website

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Screening Test may be scheduled in the coming months by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

FMGE is a screening test conducted by the NBEMS that an Indian citizen/overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 must qualify for.

The applicant must possess the eligibility certificate issued by the National Medical Commission to apply for the Screening Test, as per the specified requirements.

Those who have not yet obtained an Eligibility Certificate need to apply for it at the National Medical Commission’s website https://www.nmc.org.in/ through the ‘Student Login’ link.

Applications can be submitted from 10 am on September 1, 2025, till 6 pm on September 30, 2025. The application must be submitted after doing due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously.

Applicants can make enquiries about the status of the eligibility application at eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in & eligibility@nmc.org.in, providing their File Tracking Number, which will be generated while submitting the application to NMC for issuance of the Eligibility Certificate. No response would be sent to the candidate in the absence of a File Tracking Number.

Those who have already submitted an application for issuance of the Eligibility Certificate to NMC in the past need not apply again.
