CUET UG 2025 exam dates out: Check details on application, fee payment and correction window

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions will be held from May 8 to June 1, 2025, as per an announcement by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday. Candidates can check official updates and submit their applications on the CUET website. However, officials clarified that these dates are tentative, and a detailed schedule will be released later.
Students can submit their applications for CUET-UG from March 1, with the deadline set for 11.50 pm on March 22. Candidates must complete the application fee payment by March 23, by 11:50 pm, along with their registration. The NTA has also scheduled an application correction window from March 24 to March 26, allowing applicants to amend any errors in their submitted forms.
The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Introduced in 2022, CUET-UG was designed to standardise undergraduate admissions across central, state, and select private universities. Instead of multiple entrance tests, it provides a single assessment covering language skills, domain-specific subjects, and general aptitude. The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to promote equal opportunities and inclusivity in higher education.
In 2024, approximately 13.47 lakh students registered for CUET-UG, marking a slight decline from 14.99 lakh in 2023. The exam was conducted in a hybrid mode, with both online and offline formats, between May 15 and 29.
Of the total candidates who appeared for the exam in 2024, 7.17 lakh were male, 6.30 lakh were female, and seven identified as transgender.
