CEE Kerala invites KMAT 2026 Session I applications, deadline January 15

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2026 (Session I) for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) course.
Eligibility
(i) Nationality and Nativity: Indians and non-Indians are eligible to apply. But, only Keralite candidates are eligible for all types of reservation or fee concession
(ii) Age: There is no restriction on age
(iii) Academic qualifications: Applicant should have completed a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in arts, science, engineering, commerce, management, or equivalent with the minimum marks as stipulated for admission to the MBA course by the respective universities to which the candidate wishes to apply. Those who are appearing for the final year of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the process for admission to MBA Course-2026.
Test structure
The computer-based KMAT 2026 will be conducted across all districts in Kerala on 25.01.2026. It will be of 3 hours’ duration and will consist of 180 objective-type questions of four marks each from
(a) English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension (50 Questions)
(b) Quantitative Aptitude (50)
(c) Data sufficiency and Logical Reasoning (40)
(d) General Knowledge and current affairs (40) (Total 180x4=720 marks). The syllabus for K-MAT 2026 is based on the fundamentals of the 10+2 curriculum.
For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
The time schedule and other instructions regarding the examination will be notified later.
Qualifying Marks
General category and SEBC candidates should secure a minimum of 10% (72) marks and SC/ST/PD category candidates, a minimum of 7.5% (54) marks, to be eligible for admission to MBA courses in various universities/departments and affiliated management colleges, including the autonomous colleges in Kerala.
The admission to the course will be based on the list prepared by considering the marks of the entrance examination, group discussion, and interview with a weightage of 80%, 10%, and 10%, respectively.
Application
Applications for KMAT 2026 (Session I) can be submitted online at www.cee.kerala.gov.in by 4 pm on 15.01.2026 by remitting the required application fee.
Application Fee
There is no application fee for ST candidates. The application fee is Rs.1000/- for General and SEBC candidates. It is Rs.500/- for SC candidates. The amount can be paid online using Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.
After remitting the fee, the candidate has to upload a recent passport-size colour photograph and signature to the online application. While filling out the online application, the candidate should select four convenient city codes from the list as their choice of centres in order of their priority.
After completing the application submission procedure, the candidate can download the Application Acknowledgement Page and keep a copy of it for future reference. Documents in proof of applicable eligibility (nationality, nativity, reservations, age, academic qualification, etc.) criteria shall be produced before the college/university authorities at the time of admission. No documents are to be uploaded with the online application or submitted to the CEE.
Admit Cards
Candidates can download their Admit Cards from www.cee.kerala.gov.in from the date to be announced by the CEE. The admit card should be brought to the examination hall along with valid ID proof.
The selection and admission to the MBA course are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the government, universities, and institutions.

Candidature for KMAT 2026 is purely provisional and is subject to fulfilment and proof of eligibility criteria prescribed by the admitting institutions as applicable.
